Bears, wolves and coyotes...
We have all those kinds of wildlife and more... I, myself very rarely see a black bear, however, however evidently others in and around the SE USA, have encounters with them. I hear the coyotes quite a bit, and sometimes I know the actual wolves are back in "their" territory, with all the latenight howling!

Difficult night
We had an evening filled with storm warnings, and dire forecasts, but a beautiful new day is now underway for our area! Storms do pass, and God sees us through them!

On Being a Collected Artist-Kim Rowlett
"It is wonderful to know that many people all over the world enjoy both my original work and prints, so much that I have had many repeat buyers over the years"! They are kind enough to encourage me with many compliments, and I always appreciate their insights".

On Photography
"I have been taking photographs for many years. I remember riding down the road on my bike, when I was younger, snapping pictures at whatever was interesting, in color and/or black&white. People ask me why I have never "focused in" on taking photos of people as my subjects more! Well, I cannot say I never find people interesting...but living in a rural country area, sometimes I would find myself taking photos of everything from old houses, that had been abandoned, to flowers, to wildlife. Sometimes a close up of a beer can crumpled on the road, was also interesting. Subjects are everywhere!" -KIMBERLY ROWETT

Favorite Art Materials
From time to time people ask me about the kinds of paints I buy, what medias I like to use, etc. However, I use whatever is good quality, and accessible. Depending on the store I am visiting, I look at their selections, and note the prices offered. Of course, if they happen to have the kinds of paints I need on sale, I purchase those. I will occasionally try a new brand of paints, pastels, etc., out to see how it performs. Sometimes it has been well worth it, other times not. If you also produce art, as a hobby or profession, my advice is to experiment with what works for you, sometimes it really does lead you to a new understanding of what works best!
